The pandemic has brought into sharp focus the importance of our homes, their need to function in a much broader sense than ever before. They provide us with our space for socialising and are our havens when required, but they are now also needed to accomodate home working. Home working is a trend set to stay for many of us, either on a part time or full time level and therefore has required us all to have a re-think on how our home spaces work for us.

Our outdoor spaces have also become invaluable to us. Some connection to nature is vital to our well being and the trend for spending on these outdoor spaces has risen dramatically through the national lockdowns and is expected to continue. Unable to go abroad for a holiday, we are holidaying at home and turning our gardens into entertainment spaces. Hot tubs, fire pits and outdoor seating are becoming permanent fixtures in many gardens.
